La Quinta Arts Festival is located on the spectacular grounds of the La Quinta Civic Center Campus, a short drive from legendary Palm Springs, California. The 13 acre Campus is a life-size picture postcard framed by majestic mountains, rolling green lawns, and a lake – a spectacular outdoor gallery. Hosting 230 of the nation’s foremost contemporary artists.
The La Quinta Arts Festival ranks as number one for 2013 according to Art Fair SourceBook, a guide to juried arts and crafts fairs across the United States.
Greg Lawler, Editor and Publisher of the Art Fair Source Book, stated, “La Quinta Art Festival is the best of the best.” Top sales numbers, quality of the experience and the desert setting of the festival.
Artist Mark Stephenson designed 2013 La Quinta Arts Festival poster
Mark Stephenson is the poster artist for the upcoming 31st annual La Quinta Arts Festival. Here’s what the Sky Valley resident had to say about his passions, his photography, and his art.
“My photography career has been so wonderfully diverse, having engaged in editorial, documentary, stock, commercial and the fine art (for the last 9 years) assignments and projects over the years, that I feel my career path is actually “many.”
The Golden Cattails artwork for the La Quinta Arts Festival. The panels are built, sanded and ready. The substrate is gessoed, burnished, ready to be sized, leafed, inkjet emulsified, printed, bonded, routered, sanded, painted and poured. The 600-plus, 3-inch sheets of 24 karat gold leaf should be delivered today. Clock is ticking … so much to do.
