LUPINE PLAZA OUTDOOR DINING PALM DESERT
Due to the extraordinary impact COVID restrictions have had on small business and restaurants, the city of Palm Desert formed Unite Palm Desert. During their May meeting, the City Council approved Unite Palm Desert Economic Relief Program (UPDERP). A program designed to help support multiple sectors of our local economy hardest hit by the COVID-19 closure orders.
The UPDERP Loan provides $1 Million of public funds toward supporting our local restaurants, retail, service industries and small businesses via a forgivable loan program.
This city-wide campaign was formed to ensure Palm Desert flourishes during and after the pandemic. One of their strategies includes Lupine Plaza Outdoor Dining. A one block section of Lupine at El Paseo is closed to vehicle traffic and has been transformed into an Al Fresco Dining experience. The Plaza features Dining Tables with Umbrellas, String Lights and music for ambiance. The city has invited Palm Desert restaurants to utilize Lupine Plaza as a way to serve their patrons while indoor dining restrictions are in place. Local Chef’s are encouraged to use this opportunity to be creative and showcase their innovative ideas. The city wants them to explore other opportunities as well, such as hosting a pop-up location inside the Plaza.
Whether you want to enjoy a fresh cup of Jo at Sunrise, or an after-dinner drink beneath the Plaza’s canopy of string lights, you’re welcome to make yourself at home at Lupine Plaza.
This is what the Desert Lifestyle is All About; it’s Saturday evening – the weather is perfect – jump in your Golf Cart and make a quick ride to El Paseo for Dinner. And here is the perfect place to do that! This Beautiful Custom Home in Palm Desert is just outside the gates of Ironwood Country Club and ready for you to call Home…..
