Tour de Palm Springs, formerly known as Spokes for Different Folks, this celebrated annual event has given both bike enthusiasts and casual riders a chance to pedal their way through Palm Springs to support Coachella Valley’s local non-profit organizations since 1999. In 2011, the event raised over $225,000 to support 118 different charities, and the event organizers hope to do the same again this year.

Sign up to participate today and choose from five routes ranging from five miles to 100 miles long. Don’t have a bike? No need to worry, because you can rent one for the big day.
The ride starts and finishes at Spa Resort Casino Parking Lot F, located just west of the Casino. Prices range from $25 – $60 for adults and $10 – $50 for kids under 18, depending on which race route is chosen.
On-site registration for the event is available on Friday, February 10, but there is an extra $10 fee, so register early by signing up online at the Tour de Palm Springs website today.
This will be the 2nd year for the Tour de Jazz, which is a free event presented in conjunction with the Tour de Palm Springs.
Held on Friday night from 6 – 9 pm, local high school and community college jazz bands will entertain at six different locations on North Palm Canyon. Winning numerous awards, the ensembles have played in Ireland, Japan, and many other countries.
